The most northwestern area of the island of Tenerife, located in the Teno Rural Park and from where you can see a spectacular series of panoramic views of the peninsula, the coast and the lighthouse.
To visit Teno Alto is to go back to the past, to visit one of the most remote, isolated and unknown areas of Tenerife.
As we go forward we will discover the houses scattered around the plateau, each one with its own land for sowing, a pen for the cows and another for the goats, and all with a tagora, the threshing floors that are surrounded by a wall of stones, with their highest part facing the dominant wind, where the wheat and barley were threshed and thrown, all of it a redoubt of the ancient Canarian traditional architecture.
Nature, fresh air and a walk can whet your appetite and you can taste the goat meat, which is very popular in the area, at any typical sale. Teno cheeses are also well known.
We will simply let ourselves be led wherever the view, the steps, the camera, the photograph and the light lead us.
